The author took 3D spatial data from a NASA and then re-scaled the z axis to exaggerate the relief. I'm not sure exactly what software was used, sorry :/

I'd like to see this with a white Swedish longboat silhouette

I saw this version of a UK flag with Welsh representation but couldn't find it, so I made it again on photoshop. by Teskje in vexillology

I agree, I think the flag looks too busy with a dragon on it. Maybe I'm biased because I really like the current Union flag.

Sverd i fjell, Norway by Teskje in europe

[–]Teskje[S] 150 points151 points  (0 children)

"Sverd i fjell", or "Swords in rocks" in English, was built (completed in 1983) to commemorate the Battle of Hafrsfjord which took place there in the year 872.

The largest sword represents the victorious Harald, and the two smaller swords represent the defeated petty kings. The monument also represents peace, since the swords are planted into solid rock, so they may never be removed.

Found an old card game of mine and decided to make it a map. (Work in progress. I know its not perfect) by chipper6412 in vexillology

That's such a cool idea. Will you use multiple flags for massive countries like Russia, Canada, and China?

Edit: are you placing the flags on the nation's capitals? I love this so much btw
